California HealthCare Foundation has an expanded
and improved edition of its California Nursing Home Search Website.
CalNHS.org continues to provide information that Californians
can trust about nursing home care, including objective evaluations about
nursing home quality. In addition, CalNHS.org now provides similar
information about hospices and home health care agencies. As a result of
this expansion, CalNHS.org now lists crucial details about quality, types of
services provided, complaints and deficiencies, staffing levels, cost and
location for virtually EVERY long-term care agency and facility in our
state. It also includes new interactive tools that help consumers, their
families, and providers determine if a nursing home is necessary, or if an
alternate care option is more appropriate. You'll notice that this website
is truly a one-stop shop for Californians evaluating their long-term care
options.
